In this workshop learn about the effects of each primitive reflex if still inappropriately retained.

*Information on primitive reflexes in general and their vital link to learning and behaviour. When they do not inhibit as expected, they are THE underlying causes of many learning and behaviour problems in child- and adulthood.

*Description, function and/or purpose of each reflex in infancy.

Hilliard, OH

RMT for Kindergarten/Preschool
August 1 & 2, 2009

Hilliard, OH
Instructor: Dr. Harald Blomberg, Stockholm, Sweden
http://www.haraldblomberg.com

What Will I Learn?

This course, which focuses on kindergarten & preschool children, teaches the basics of Rhythmic Movements plus midline reflexes that are directly related to the young child. The attendants will experience the movements as well as learn how to use the rhythmic exercises that can assist in developing the child’s motor ability. Participants will learn to recognize and test several important infant reflexes that affect the motor, emotional and mental development of the child. Dr. Blomberg will share rhythmic exercises, games and other activities. The focus is on integrating the reflexes in a playful way, using rhythmic exercises and games.

What is Rhythmic Movement?
Rhythmic Movement Training incorporates movement exercises which correspond to the developmental level of the infant. Thanks to the spontaneous infant movements, the baby learns to control the body, establish balance and coordinate movements to integrate primitive reflexes.

Who Should Attend?

Kindergarten/Preschool staff, therapists, teachers, parents or anyone who is interested in learning more about assisting in development of motor, emotional and metal possibilities in young students.

Instructor:
Dr. Harald Blomberg is a psychiatrist by profession. In 1984, Kerstin Linde developed Rhythmic Movements and Dr. Blomberg studied the science behind her work. For the last 17 years, he has worked in private practice, with adult patients using Rhythmic Movements along with other movement oriented programs. In the past few years, Dr Blomberg has developed several Rhythmic Movement classes which he and other Rhythmic Movement instructors are teaching around the world.
